Here is what can be done with conventional appliances.  Jaw surgery might have been this girl's main option, but Dr. Hockel used an appliance that repositioned her lower jaw forward, using the upper jaw as anchorage.  Her bite is much improved, as is her appearance, but compare her face to those who have been treated with biobloc orthotropics (a method that does not use the upper jaw as anchorage, and which gets a better overall result).
